This year, Raffles Place Alliance rolled out a series of exciting placemaking initiatives, all designed to foster connection and engagement, particularly among the working community in Raffles Place. From dazzling décor and installations on display to the introduction of the latest #RPchairs in the park and a unique Christmas Crawl experience, each effort aimed to create welcoming spaces where people could gather, relax and connect all year round. Here’s a look back at everything that happened in 2025!
Chinese New Year Festive Decor in January & February

To welcome the Lunar New Year, Raffles Place Park was dressed in vibrant festive colours, spreading wishes of prosperity for the year ahead with its festive décor.

This year’s décor featured festive arches, boxes of good fortune and a striking archway adorned with over 20,000 shimmering sequins. Enhancing these displays were geometric butterflies in bright orange, pink, and yellow hues—symbolising the arrival of spring and serving as lucky charms for visitors to Raffles Place.

At the tail end of the CNY celebrations, upcycling craft workshops were held at Raffles Place Park to repurpose unused or unwanted red packets, turning them into origami animals.
UNWIND @ Raffles Place – March edition
On 27 March, we held our first UNWIND @ Raffles Place of the year!

Like previous iterations, the park was livened with outdoor park games (including badminton, basketball, giant jenga, foosball, chip and putt golf), live music performances by local musicians Shak and Houg, a movie screening of The Little Mermaid and a block printing workshop facilitated by Mural Lingo.

i Light Singapore 2025

In May and June, Raffles Place became an official satellite location for i Light Singapore 2025, Asia’s Leading Light Festival, bringing a stunning inflatable garden to Raffles Place Park for the first time.

Sixteen inflatable artworks designed by Australian artist Matthew Aberline and The Beautiful and Useful Studio were planted within Raffles Place Park to form a garden-like landscape. Vibrant by day and luminous by night, the colourful structures shaped like gazebos, glasshouses and bird cages were each ornately decorated with the native flora and fauna unique to Singapore.
60 New #RPchairs in July

In the spirit of SG60, Raffles Place Alliance added 60 bright new #RPchairs to Raffles Place Park in July.
Clad in a striking red hue, each of the chairs placed in the park features a customised one-of-a-kind print, emblazoned with the words: “I ❤ Raffles Place”.
Complementing the new chairs are #RPchairs from previous editions, including our signature “O” benches and Cube-Pods.
Designed to bring the community together, they offer a cosy spot in the Central Buzz District to relax, catch up with friends or enjoy a sunny break from work.

On 22 & 23 December, from 12 noon to 2pm, Raffles Place Alliance will be giving #RPchairs a new home for the holidays.
Take home an #RPchair* when you:
- Snap a photo of yourself in #RPchairs
- Post the photo to your social media feed or IG stories and tag us @rafflesplacesg
- Show us your post and collect your chair!
*Terms and conditions apply. Limited to 2 chairs per person, while chairs last.
UNWIND @ Raffles Place in August
Raffles Place transformed again on 13 August with this year’s second edition of UNWIND @ Raffles Place.
For this edition, Raffles Place Alliance collaborated with Aliwal Chess Club to bring street chess to the park for the first time. Besides chess, there were also traditional Singaporean games like chapteh, marbles and pick up sticks facilitated by PLAY!, in honour of Nation’s birthday.

We also invited local singer-songwriter Benny and DJ El Professionel to perform live, capping off the night with a screening of Cruella under the stars.
UNWIND @ Raffles Place in October
The third edition of UNWIND for the year took place on 9 October. Like always, it was another opportunity to chill and connect after work in the Central Buzz District.

The evening was filled with different fun and creative activities to help the community unwind, including a mural painting facilitated by Mural Lingo!’s and street chess by Aliwal Chess Club —the chess boards and pieces painted neon to create a glow after dark.
The park buzzed with lawn games and live music performed by Ice Cream Sundays’ resident DJ Bongomann and local musician and producer Fzpz, warming up the crowd for the movie screening of Jungle Cruise.

Raffles Place Christmas Crawl in November & December

To close off the year, Raffles Place Alliance celebrated with the first-ever Raffles Place Christmas Crawl!
For this crawl, Raffles Place Alliance partnered with different bars around Raffles Place to spark after-work connections—a chance for the community to celebrate the season with colleagues and friends.
Those with a ticket got to bar-hop across three venues, with a welcome drink at every stop and special discounts along the way.

2025 was yet another vibrant year for Raffles Place, brimming with unforgettable moments.
