Raffles Place Shines for i Light Singapore 2026

From 5 to 28 June 2026, Raffles Place will be illuminated in a flourish of colours as part of i Light Singapore 2026. This is the second year Raffles Place is participating as a satellite location for Asia’s leading light festival.

This year, Raffles Place Alliance is delighted to present Arch Flower, a multi-coloured installation by French artist Cyril Lancelin.

Arch Flower

Featuring gradients drawn from Singapore’s tropical gardens, Arch Flower unfurls like a flower opening its petals, creating an architectural passage made up of twisting tubular forms. Its surface flows between transitional shades of pink and green, generating a soft and vibrant atmosphere akin to a body caught mid-movement.

Arch Flower functions as a gathering place in Raffles Place, where monumentality reveals itself with unexpected lightness and open passage. Visitors are encouraged to move through, pause within, and photograph themselves basking in the gradient light.

Cyril Lancelin

The artist Cyril Lancelin notes, “I always think about movement when creating installations. I do not want the audience to simply observe the work from a distance. I want them to physically experience it. With Arch Flower, visitors can move through it, gather beneath it, pose, take photographs… I hope the installation creates a sense of wonder and curiosity.”
